Santa Rosa Chapel Purple Wedding

One of my favorite things to bring into my floral designs is texture.  I love TEXTURE!   Texture brings interest to monochromatic designs, giving them life.  Texture excites the eye by causing it to move throughout the design to explore the different components of the design.  Even though this couple had planned a more intimate event and had a limited budget, they were able to enjoy some posh designs.  I offered them creations that could be used for both the ceremony and reception, saving them money and making each design more substantial.  I love to create fewer arrangements and maximize their impact rather than have a sprinkling of flowers throughout that do not create a memorable viewing experience.  Your day should be a reflection of who you are and what you enjoy seeing!  I invite you to contact me, consultations are complimentary and it would be nice for us to chat and see how I can assist you on your planning journey.

Vivid Fall Loading Chute Wedding

This bride was so much fun to work with. She came to the consultation with her colors already selected.  Stacy had in mind how she was going to personalize her wedding, she had the help of Taylor at Taylor Made Weddings to help her develop a theme.  Themes are a great way to create a memorable wedding.  If you don't have a theme or design focus for your wedding, feel free to contact us at Lilies of the Field, we can help you with that.  It doesn't have to be formally pronounced,  no one has to know what it is, it just gives you direction as you plan all the aspects of your day.  If you need help with the organization of your day including securing great wedding professionals for your day, contact Taylor at www.taylormadeeventsanddesgins.com    A great coordinator like Taylor will help you save more than their rate with cost saving ideas, they will also make it possible for you to enjoy your day.  For this gorgeous bride who was on a tight budget, here is what Stacy and Taylor came up with to make this wedding fun and how they chose to reflect who they are....

A simply elegant gown for a simply elegant bride.

A country girl at heart, Stacy chose a barn venue for part of the day's celebration.

The church was an important part of the day, the pastor, Stacy's father, is the pastor at the Atascadero Bible Church.  Stacey grew up at this church, helping her dad with his sermons when she was just a little girl

The groom, Stephen, had recently become a firefighter, so the logs were a way to bring his passion to the ceremony.  It's a big church sanctuary.

Log aisle markers were an economical way to decorate and we brought in flowers and candles to soften the aisle decorations

They came up with an unusual and totally cool way to involve their large wedding party.  Each attendant carried a vase of water with flowers down the aisle (men had a mason jar with water-no flowers) that they emptied into a larger vase on the side of the altar.  The girls kept their flowers and then the bride and groom combined thier individual vases into one during the ceremony.  Sort of a extended unity candle idea but with water, and a great one I might add.  Here they are at the ceremony, you can see the mix and match vintage grey and purple dressses that the attendants were able to personalize themselves, and wear again.

I love those bright warm tones with a splash of white to crisp up the design.   A good mix of texture and some informal and elegant blooms where mixed for a fun but not too casual design.  Lisianthus, safflower, feverfew, dahlia and aranda orchids.

and now for the party!

Burlap and log slices brought in that rustic charm, while the mercury containers brought in some elegance.

congratulations!

Thank you for sharing your day with us, we enjoyed serving you...  Happy New Life Together!
